New York is still the crib of Contemporary Art, but what can artists do to survive?
New York, NY (PRWEB) March 14, 2005 -- The Brooklyn Museum is currently mounting an exhibition of the work of Jean-Michel Basquiat, an acclaimed painter, whose art of signs and symbols penetrates the viewer’s deepest emotions. Basquiat died of a narcotic overdose in 1988 at the age of 27. As Robert Hughes said in his American Visions, “The only thing the market likes better than a hot young artist is a dead hot young artist.”
