- Oregon State Fire Marshal
Provides community education, fire prevention programs, inspections, license and permit services, and database on HazMat information.
The Office of State Fire Marshal is a division of Oregon State Police.
The division has nine diverse units, Cardlock Services, License and Permit Services, Data Services,
Community Right to Know, Fire and Life Safety, Community Education, Regional Hazardous Materials
Emergency Response Teams, Juvenile Fire Intervention, and Codes/Technical Support Services. There are also
many other programs located here such as; Oregon Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition, etc..
The Office was created in 1917 . It seeks to protect Oregonians' lives and property from fire
and hazardous materials.
