Canadian contemporary west coast landscape, floral and treescape oil paintings. My current series is an intimate exploration of waterscapes, treescapes, light, pattern and reflections. The spaces depicted in the paintings are enclosed and private; they are scenes in which motion and time is suspended; where the ensuing composition is as important as the pure, saturated colours. Much of the imagery is derived from West Coast wetlands and conservation sites and often alludes to themes of man's interaction with nature.
